I was an extra for a pilot that was never picked up, 3 years ago, what are my chances of being picked again?
Towards the end of 2007, I sent in an application to a casting company to be picked to be an extra. I don't want to be an actress, I just think it's fun to work in the background. I actually want to work in public relations, but that's another story. Not many shows are filmed here, I didn't get picked for Transformers 2, what are my chances of being picked? I'm African American, I'm short - 5 foot, with short black hair. I'm going to take a new picture and try it today. If they call me cool, if they don't that's ok too. I didn't enjoy Transformers any less because they didn't call me, lol. But I just wanted to know from people with experience what they thought.

- Nobody can tell. It all depends what is being filmed near you, and what age/race extras they are looking for.
- Impossible to say. Pictures go in a filing cabinet and when casting directors need lots of people or extras, they go to the cabinets and start pulling pictures and making calls. The busier you stay as an actress and the more you build your network, the more your chances increase. It's a business, not a popularity contest. What have you done in the last 3 years to let this casting director or any casting director know you are out there working and hustling?
