Transformers Movie Info

The casting call for paid "Transformers 3" extras is from 10-3:30 do you have to be there the whole time?

Transformers 3 is coming to Milwaukee and they are holding a casting call next weekend from 10-3:30 so does that mean I have to be there at 10 or does it mean I can come anytime between those times? Also it said that they are looking for trendy executive types. What would someone wear then? Thanks

  1. no, that is when they are seeing people, you will probably have to stand in line no matter what time you go

  2. no you can come at any time but will have to stand in a long line... wear trendy clothes like ones in style kinda preppy so go to hollister.

  3. When Just Go with It and Adam Sandler film came to Maui (Hawaii) they had over 3000 people show up. When Pirates 4 held casting on Oahu (Hawaii) it was pretty much the same thing. People were in line for hours.

Treat this like getting tickets for a U2 concert. If they are starting at 10AM, you'd be better be showing up no later than 8AM. What they'll end up doing is seeing all the people they can between 10-3:30 and then send everyone else in line home. Trendy executives means wearing trendy designer business attire. Not casual. Business.

  4. Since I assisted in the LA call, I can provide you with the specifics. ;D

So you go to the place either wearing your wardrobe, or bringing it with you FULLY PRESSED, ON HANGERS. Getting there early will be better than getting there "on time" or towards the end of the casting call time. VERY EARLY would be best, like at ~least~ an hour.

Wardrobe: watch whatever tv shows have "trendy executive types" wardrobe & pull your ideas from there. (Uber-trendy would be "Ugly Betty".)

People who are in line by 3:30 should be seen: a casting assistant would probably go to the last person in line at 3:30 and give them a piece of paper indicating that *they* are the last person in line.

Bring a PEN, portable chair, UMBRELLA, water, snacks, maybe a book (altho you'll probably end up spending all your time in line, yapping with the people around you).

There SHOULD BE more info on what to bring, like your ID. If you have a VALID passport, that would be best, but whatever kind of ID you have otherwise should be okay.

When you get to the place, you'll get in line. To make things go quicker, a casting assistant may come out with the papers you need to fill out. So if you have a clipboard or piece of cardboard you could bring to write on, that would be helpful.

When it looks like you're getting close to the front of the line, take your wardrobe to the bathroom & change. Then get back in your place in line.

When you get to the front of the line, a casting person will write your name on a piece of paper. You'll be given a confidentiality form & info on how you will be contacted, how YOU should contact casting, etc. You'll be taken to wherever the photo is being taken. You'll stand in front of a white backdrop, hold your piece of paper up, have your pic taken, you'll drop your paper, you'll have another or two pics taken, AND THAT WILL BE IT.

Then you get to go on your merry way & really, really, REALLY hope that you get at least a few days work on the flick.
