Who would win in a fight between Optimus Prime and the Power Rangers' Megazord?

I'm talking about the original Optimus Prime from the cartoon and the original Megazord from the first Power Rangers series. No Ultrazord or Dragonzord involved. If so, Optimus Prime gets Ironhide as backup.

2. Well Megazord, when formed, towers over Prime. If unformed, it would be like giant Dinobots fighting Prime and Ironhide. So in the end, my answer is Megazord.

   It's been a while since I've seen a "___ vs ___ " question that's actually entertaining.

   Despite the Megazord being much larger than either Optimus Prime or Ironhide, I think the two transformers end up taking down their piecemeal opponent. While the size difference is something of an advantage in favor of the Megazord, when it boils down to basics, the Transformers are career soldiers with very potent laser weaponry while the Megazord is piloted by a bunch of kids who are good at turning flips. Superior tactics can overcome just about any great disadvantage and Optimus Prime is one of the most tactically gifted characters ever created. For that reason alone, I'd give the Transformers the advantage. Throw in Ironhide's own resourcefulness and willingness to engage the enemy and the advantage increases even more in the Autobots' favor.

   As I said, the size advantage is good but it's ultimately useless against an opposition that knows how to manipulate it to their advantage.
