Really it is. T1 and T2 are much better then T3. - Witwiki's relationship with that new chick is a total WASTE OF TIME in the entire movie. Its almost becoming the main plot. Almost. - Human military were missing out. Unlike T2, it was full scale attack on the decepticons DESPITE Starscream defending the AIR. In T3, their just watching TV. i mean, WTF? Where are the tanks and shit. - A few T2 autobots and important human characters Missing in T3. - Fight scenes between Transformers were ridiculously short. Where were the real fights like Bumblebee VS Barricade in T1. Where were the real fights like Autobots VS Decepticons in T2 where they were in the field(The scene when optimus got killed) ? These were the kinds of scenes that made the whole movie enjoyable. In T3, you only see shooting, stabbing and worse of all Pulling each other's heads off Transformers. Unlike in T1 and T2 they were fighting like Real Giants. Damn it. OH ONE MORE THING. THOSE 2 NASCAR AUTOBOTS NEVER EVEN TRANSFORMED. THAT WAS WHAT I WAS WAITING FOR. WTF
In general I didn't enjoy it!
First of all, yes there was a token amount of plot, but once the action moved to Chicago, it disappeared. The remaining part of the movie (a significant portion it seemed) was spent just showing us the fighting going on in the city. It seemed silly as they ran/traveled from building to building, for some lame reason.
It had none of the well-timed humor of the first movie. Instead, it replaced it with cheap laughs. Even the charm/wit of Sam's parents was lost on me.
Too much of the movie was spent with the camera following the autobots in their car forms, as they drove around the streets. I wanted to yawn every time they kept doing that.
The soundtrack was quite weak compared to the soundtrack of the first movie. They put quite a few songs in with lyrics, and I found the lyrics to be distracting to the movie.
Overall, very lackluster, very disappointing. I know the general rule is that sequels are always worse than their predecessors, but I can't help but always hope that one day a sequel will be an improvement on the originals.
