Why Optimus prime chose to save human kind instead of his own planet Cybertron in Transformer 3?

I don't understand why did he do that after watching this movie. If he followed Sentinel prime's plan, he could have saved his planet and end the war between Autobots and Decepticons. Why he save the Earth?

1. Cause its a movie. And the humans are soooooo much more important then the autobots.

   They couldnt kill off earth, people here wouldnt of liked that ending.

Because Sentinel had joined the decepticons and the planet was now ruled by them , by peace he meant with the decepticons ruling everything,so cybertron was no longer the home they had fought for it was basically a decepticon base,so he chose to save earth which is the autobots new home and the innocent humans who live there.

   p.s. letting this planet die to save cybertron is a decepticon tactic not an autobot one.

5. It's because it's all a matter of right or wrong. He believes that 'freedom is the right of all sentient beings' . it's like you being on the sidelines of joining someone else pick on some other kid. if you join the bully..well..pointless story. if you join the kid, however..storytime! haha you get the idea.


6. Optimus Prime was taught by Sentinel Prime himself that "Freedom is the right of all sentient beings." Sentinel was attempting to enslave the humans as a labor force for to help with transporting resources to Cybertron, and he was using the human race to do it. That was why when Optimus killed him, he said that he betrayed himself. He betrayed his original beliefs which he instilled in Optimus. Optimus, in his great wisdom could not allow that to happen and he chose to sacrifice Cybertron to save the human race.
