Do i need to watch transformers to understand Revenge of the fallen?

Havent watched transformers 1, will i understand 2 if i directly watch it?

  6. errm i dont think you need to watch transformers 1, but you will have to if you wanna know about the robots past and about the "cube sharp"

    i think you should anyway because the first one was well better!!!

  7. You won't be totally lost if you see the 2nd one without having seen the first... I would suggest it though... just so that you do actually know what's going on... even though the 2nd is COMPLETELY AWESOME... if you watch the first one before hand you will have more appreciation for the 2nd. It introduces the characters and gives you more of a chance to connect with them. If you know a little bit about transformers you will be somewhat ok... but it would be best to see the 1st one... other wise you are going to be like, ok who is he, and who is she and what is that? cause they don't really re-introduce anyone you are just supposed to know who everyone is..

  8. yes and no you need to of watched alot of transformers cartoons at least but its more helpfull if you watch the first movie on dvd first as some things from the cartoons have changed into other things

  10. Big robots beat each other up for two and a half hours interspersed w/ bad dialog. That's about it.

  16. If you are familiar with the cartoon, then you wouldn't need to watch the first movie. There will be some elements you will not be familiar with because some characters never were in the cartoon, but the premise is still there. You'll enjoy it.
