Transformers Movie Info

NASCAR in Transformers 2?

Now please note this is relatively a movie question but wanted to get some of your thoughts. IT IS RUMORED, I REPEAT RUMORED that in next years "blockbuster" Transformers 2 or "Revenge of the Fallen" which ever title they run with that a character (robot that turns into a vehicle for those of you who may not be familiar) named Wheeljack will be modeled after a NASCAR Cup stock car. So here's my question who do you think they would go after for this....don't think it would be an alcohol sponsor since the toy mfg HASBRO is involved. Can you imagine the #88 racing down a street then turning into a robot??? Or the #48 or #11. WHAT CAR WOULD YOU LIKE TO SEE TURNED INTO AN AUTOBOT (GOOD GUY)??? Or could you care less???? Just thought I'd post for fun....just trying to see what ya'll think.

1. Put Kyle Busch's car as part of the Decepticons lol

   Jeff Burton would make for a neat Optimus Prime.

   And Matt Kenseth can be Bumblebee!



2. It'd have to be a Chevy since the Autobots are all GM's, I'd actually go with the #1 car, cool mix of black and red.To go the opposite end of the spectrum, a Decepticon in the #3 scheme and named Intimdator would be pretty wild too.


3. I say put Dale Jr. for this reason, he is the most popular driver and has the most posters, signs, and ads out there. Kids will be watching and since Jr. is everywhere, they can connect Transformers with Nascar everywhere they go. Kids will go nuts when they see a Transformer actually on the track. My little cousin loves Camaros now because of the first Transformers movie.

   Edit: I think Dale Jr. should lend his voice also.



4. I would like to see the Army car up there with Mark Martin kick some butt.

   You could also put JR. with the National Guard.

6. I could see the #24 as a transformer. When I first saw the first movie, I thought Optimus Prime's semi tractor had a Jeff Gordon red/blue with flames paint job on it. Its a very distinctive paint scheme. And Jeff drives a chevy, and he's considered a good guy clean racer. I think he'd fit the bill nicely.


7. I would love to see Jeff Gordon's car turn into an autobot. But with the flames it would resemble Optimus Prime so that wouldn't work. So i would settle with Jr's car. I hope that the rumor is right. That would be sweet.


8. they prob wont put anydrivers on it just a number but if they do put dale sr if they put kyles on it im not watching cause that thing would take out everyone on it's team


9. While I would be stoked to see the 88 car in a the new Transformer movie, my bet is it will be whoever wins the Cup this year. Just a little cross promotion gimmick,they get a well known car. And NASCAR gets to put it's current champion on display like never before. Although that might go out the window if a Chevy doesn't win.
