Transformers Movie Info

Can I use an AC transformer that outputs12v 3amp with a DVD that used an AC transformer that output 9v 3.3amp?

  1. Yikes! I wouldn't! You MIGHT get away with it, but the higher volts could fry your whole player!

    Take a look on eBay or step into RadioShack and see if they have an adapter designed for your player. They are usually pretty cheep.


  2. Nope..don't do it!..You will proabably damage your DVD player. Even if it doesnt destroy the player immediately(if you are lucky) it will probably degrade the electronics over time and cause it to fail eventually.

    The voltage is 25% higher than rated. Not a good idea.
