Would Optimus Prime be a Democrat or Republican?

Recently watched Transformers 2 the movie and read a bit about the character on Wikipedia. Then I saw an old comic strip of him meeting President Ronald Reagan. If he was a U.S citizen, which party would Optimus Prime support? State your justifications for thinking that. I'm tending towards him as a Republican: 1) He'd definitely be against arms control 2) He's all for military intervention overseas but at the same time he seems to be strong on civil liberties...hence why I ask.

1. Pro civil liberties? Any party except Republican.

4. He'd probably be a Libertarian. With a small government, he's able to destroy all that landscape and engage in dangerous battles and there wouldn't be nearly as much backlash.

9. If Optimus Prime were a democrat, he'd rely on someone else to keep him safe...then he'd complain about the level of force they used.


10. I suppose that you would consider this Republican, but I think that he would support the Constitution and the Declaration of Independence.

    He also seems to be against just doing things for other people. I mean that if somebody makes a mistake in a lot of instances he has felt that the individual should have to pay for their mistakes or make up for them. (Fights the Decepticons here on Earth since their war ended up here)
