How to test transformers up to 5KVA Single Phase Or 3 Phase Transformers?
And what are the test are beeing carried out

- The main tests we do at work are DDF tests with a Biddle bridge, insulation tests using a Megger at 5kV and sampling of the oil for about a dozen different tests. There are also ratio tests and partial discharge tests but these are really only done at commisioning or after a major fault.
There is also a test using a Dirana test set which utilises very low frequencies but I don't know much about this.
For such a small transformer, just an insulation test would give you a general idea of its internal condition. Our TX's are usually 400MVA
