In Transformers 2 Revenge of the Fallen, does the robot Optimus Prime die?

8. Yes Optimus Prime does die when he is battling Megatron in the forest. Towards the end of the movie, Jetfire offers his parts to bring Optimus back to life.

9. At first yes, then later on in the movie he comes back to life with all these new parts and looks totally different. He got bigger and stronger then what he used to be.
