In the movie Transformers 2, does Optimus Prime die?

In Transformers 2 Revenge of the Fallen, does the robot Optimus Prime die?

7. Yes Optimus Prime does die when he is battling Megatron in the forest. Towards the end of the movie, Jetfire offers his parts to bring Optimus back to life.

8. At first yes, then later on in the movie he comes back to life with all these new parts and looks totally different. He got bigger and stronger then what he used to be.


9. Hi. Yes Optimus Prime died in the middle part of the movie when Megatron pierced through his body from the back. Although near the end part of the movie, Sam (Shia Lebouf) was able to use Matrix of Leadership to bring Optimus Prime partly back from the dead. Unfortunately though, the Matrix was not able to completely give Optimus Prime full power because of the Fallen's interference. As a result, Jetfire had to give up his spark and his parts for Optimus Prime to use and become even more powerful and with the help of Ratchet and Jolt, Optimus Prime became Powered-Up Optimus Prime and was able to defeat the Fallen.
