1 The Autobots are the policing force on Cybertron, the Decepticons are Cybertronians who follow Megatron. Optimus Prime became the leader of the Autobots because he's a senior Autobot already leading the science team. Megatron founded and leads the Decepticons after the Fallen corrupted him. Their homeworld is called Cybertron
2 The All Spark is the source of all Transformer life. No one knows where it came from or how it was created. It turned a blank planet into the mechanincal world Cybertron and created 7 beings who be known as the Dynasty of Primes. It created workers for the Primes, who are able to change their shape, these became the first of the Transformer race. The All Spark is the only way to give Transformer life, but Megatron knows it's the key to untold power. The Fallen's tomb revealed to him how it created his kind and the Transformer race, and how it will lead him to where the last sun harvestor rests. Megatron turned on the Autobots and formed the Decepticons to sieze the All Spark for his master, the Fallen
3 After years of war, Megatron was finally on the verge of capturing the All Spark. Optimus' plan was to launch it into space far out of Megatron's reach forever, but Megatron was close by. Bumblebee bravely delayed Megatron and their plan worked. Frustrated, Megatron crushed Bumblebee's voice box beyond repair and pursued the All Spark following it's residual energy trail. His chase bought him to the Solar System where he first answered a distress call from his Master's ship on one of Saturn's moons, then followed the trail to earth. His entry into atmosphere caused him to burn up, and he landed in a polar region. His body tempreture melted the ice beneath him and he became trapped underwater for years. The ice became his tomb until Sector 7 dug him out
4 Captian Witwicky is the first human to find Megatron, purely by accident. He somehow activated Megatron's dormant mind which sent images of the All Spark into his mind. Captian Archibald Witwicky went crazy from the images but the information was engraved on his glasses, which his great great grandson inherited and the Decepticons need to find the All Spark
5 Sector 7 is a secret government agency formed to deal with the alien robots back in the 1800's after Megatron's discovery. They declared Archibald Witwicky insane to protect the secrets of the robot he was babbling about and drawing all over.
6 Sector 7 dug Megatron out and relocated him to where the All Spark landed, which would become the Hoover Dam. They kept Megatron frozen to keep him from waking and reverse engineered his technology to advance the human race, everything from vehicles to cell phones. They also protect the All Spark until they can unlock it's secrets
7 Starscream, Barricade & Blackout are the first Decepticons to track Megatron to earth. Starscream secretly wants to lead the Decepticons so he doesn't care to rescue Megatron, but he still wants the All Spark for himself (without actually knowing it's for the Fallen) thinking it will make him all powerful. Barricade has Frenzy with him and Blackout has Scorponok with him, together they find as much info on an alien robot and the All Spark as they can find, which leads the Decepticons to Hoover Dam. They free Megatron and destroy whoever and whatever gets in the way
8 Sam Witwicky is the descendant of the man who found Megatron and now has the glasses which is a map of where the All Spark is (Megatron tracked its location but fell thorugh the ice before he could do anything about it so he engraved the map in the first object he'd find). The Decepticons need the glasses to find the All Spark and the Autobots know the boy will need protection, so Optimus sends Bumblebee first to find and protect him. Sam is also destined to save Optimus' life and earn the Autobot Matrix of Leadership
9 Sam tries to sell them for money to help pay for his car, but the Autobots tell him it's a map to the All Spark's location
10 Bumblebee is sent to earth after the Autobots track the Decepticons there. So Bumblebee is alone searching for information until he finds the glasses for sale online. He tracks the seller down by his address and keeps an eye on Sam from a distance, becoming a car he'd buy. When Frenzy & Barricade track down Sam and attack him, Bumblebee reaveals his robot mode to fight Barricade. Bumblebee alerts the other Autobots he found the boy and the glasses and to come to earth.
12 Bumblebee is captured by Sector 7 and is bought to the base. Sam infiltrates it to save him
13 Megatron is freed when Frenzy disables the freon keeping Megatron frozen
14 Because he's more than his car, he's his friend
15 He wants Sam to sacrifice the cube into his chest so Megatron cannot have it
16 Sam gets the idea that if sacrificing it will kill Optimus then it will also kill Megatron
17 Megatron is killed by the All Spark. His lifeless body is dropped in the angean sea where it's believed it wil
